LOL I was actually thinking the same thing. I haven’t done so in quite some time and I became nostalgic. Thank you!

They are just right! Even President Lincoln posed for you 😉 Is his outfit “Movie stuff”? The family bible is such an authentic touch, and they all have that solemn expression so typical on old photos when going to the photgrapher was a rare event! I can’t thank you enough for putting in such energy creating those for me – and everybody else – even though you’re going through a difficult time! 🙂

You are very welcome. You know my 12 year old said the same thing, he looked like Lincoln!
I probably chose the wrong dad sim as his eyes are greatly altered. So your sim won’t have such a slit eyed look.

I think the most challenging part was the faces. Vintage portraits show no emotion, so the portraits had to be the same, but you can’t leave a rig or a sim with nothing done to their face. So the challenge was altering the face but showing no expression! Hopefully I was successful. I will have to look up the outfit. I doubt it’s movie stuff because I often untick that from the launcher. But this is a new save for me and perhaps I chose all the packs.
I’m doing all right. This morning the swelling from the surgery has gone down, the pain is worse and the bruising has arrived. But I’m more clear headed, no more stuffed head (confusion) from the pressure. I’m glad I had these poses pretty much done before both surgeries this week.

      Enjoy!

I think you are in for a couple of weeks of pain… Hang on in there!

Your expressions are impeccable, stoic and solemn, just as they should be! I’ll try them out tomorrow, Sunday should probably be a little less hectic than today, with yet another visit at the doctor’s.

I love these poses – the idea with the family bible is brilliant!! Having read about your personal situation, I appreciate what you do for us even more and I’m wishing you all the best! (The outfit, I happen to know, is from Movie Stuff – I love it for Victorian settings also 🙂

Thank you Danjaley! That solves that mystery. I do know that we all have our own stories of heart ache to tell, which is why I don’t discuss what is going on in public. Because I know my life is not more stressful or full of sorrows than anyone else’s.

I realized this afternoon, that I never responded to your comment on the Hey Everyone post. I wasn’t signed in or at my own computer so I couldn’t do so then either. Please accept my apologies. I did like what you said and you were completely right. I do need to look at this like a hobby, otherwise it will lose all the fun out of it. I’ve loved learning a new skill and it’s certainly been good for calming my mind when I needed it. I’ve made a note on a post it, Posing is a hobby and stuck it on my computer so I will be reminded not to add it to my list of chores and added stress!

I’m seeing your poses pop up on Tumblr and even Pinterest I think. Loving them all!
