Hey Everyone!

Every once in a while I like to stop and make a post to say hey, how you doing?  What’s new? And answer some questions I get from my great followers and people I meet on FB.  One particular question that is popping up more and more frequently is:

“When are you moving your posing over to Sims 4?”

I just want to say, I luv you guys and gals for wanting to see my poses in the newest version of Sims!  I view the question as a compliment and I thank you for asking.   I thought maybe it was time to address it more fully, so you can understand what I am thinking.  See what’s bouncing around in my brain……

First off, for some reason I can’t have both versions of Blender installed on my computer at the same time.  It literally flips out!  I have created two profiles on my computer and I will install Sims 4 studio in the other profile soon to give that a try.

Secondly I want to show you something.

To start – I open a web page and type in Sims 3 poses, enter

Sims 3 poses
I chose images, just to get you to see:

images
What I get is pages upon pages of poses that fit into three categories:

1.  catalogue/sexy poses (how many ways can a sim stand or sit?)
2.  couple poses (ugggg, so many of those)
3.  some I call portrait poses- but I include group friends, wedding and
holding the baby, touching the pregnant belly in that category

I’ve only shown you the top five rows of what the search found but believe me, you see basically the same thing as you scroll and scroll and scroll down.

NOW!  I know this isn’t exactly an accurate way to see what poses are out there to get.  It’s close, but not 100%.  Especially since in those five rows you only see a couple of mine and they fall in those top three categories too.  BUT, considering the amount of emails I get saying “I can’t find this ____________  and I need it for my story!”  Well, that tells me that there are still many themes that need to be filled for Sims 3.

I’ve even had someone be so blunt as to tell me I was wasting my valuable time!  LOL,  sorry, I don’t believe I am.  I started posing for myself, to provide pictures for my own  Stories By Bee.  Then I continued because posing was a great outlet for relieving the mounds of stress I was under every day.  Now, I do them for you as there are still a ton of you playing and writing sims 3 stories!

So here is what I am going to do for you:

  1.  Feel free to advertise your Sims 3 story in the comments below so other people can see your site.  If I see you are using my poses, I will add you to a list!

  2. I’m tentatively opening up requests to start in 2020.  Now I say tentative because:

    a) I will have more time, since my mother passed November 5th of this year and

    b) I had a heart attack on October 24th and I am still waiting on the results of all my heart tests.  I may need minor surgery to fix the damage to my heart. I find out more Dec 9th.  Regardless, no request can come with a super quick turn around date.  Most of you know and have commented on I’m a bit of a perfectionist.  I make mistakes – trust me I know and see them, but I certainly don’t want to put out junk.  However, I also have 4 kids and a hubby to care for.  Oh and three pets too.

    bailey P 20160919_114844.jpg

All I want is to make sure that before I do move over to Sims 4 permanently, that you have everything you need to carry on for all your great stories in Sims 3.  I have so much more I want to put out for you, but my head is bigger than my time.  I start a pose set promising myself it will be small, but then I get all these new ideas – I see the situation from too many angles (we can blame my mom for that) and next thing I know, I’ve spent another 2 weeks on just one set.  I want you to know, I’m working on this flaw!

So, it’s the end of the year and usually I take the time to tell you what is coming up for poses!

  1. Christmas morning pose set (out next week)

  2. Brothers and Sisters

  3. Saying Goodbye To Mom

  4. Skype poses (I swear I will get them finally done!)

  5. Bad News I’m Pregnant – Teens telling parents (almost done)

  6. Shotgun wedding for teens?  (Not sure I will do this)

  7. Anne of Green Gables

  8. Baby Portraits (I’ve had forever!)

  9. Paparazzi poses (coming up in the next chapter of my story whenever I get there!)

I have many more started, nearly finished I have not listed here.  So many ideas, I have!

Lastly,  I am in desperate need of a CC creator to make me a mug that is a CAS accessory.  So many times I have needed that for a pose set idea that ended up in the bin!  It can’t be taken from someone else’s creation, like a mug object by so and so, turned into a CAS accessory and it can not be a DL that is a mediafire link or something of the like.  Is there any super creative, talented person out there that can do that for me? I just need a mug, doesn’t need to be fancy, handle would be appreciated.  If this works out, I may need more items from whoever can help me.

In the meantime I will take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy month of December as we wind our way down to Christmas day!  Don’t forget to comment below!

Your poses are wonderful, don’t stop doing the sims 3 poses please. You make the most amazing sequences I’ve ever seen. I write ts3 stories and stories and always use your poses and have had ideas for stories and new stories inspired by your poses. Thank you so much for this. I’m sorry for your mother. I wish you all the best with your exams. Best wishes.

Awwww, thank you! I’ve seen my poses in your stories, but I never knew I inspired any! I feel so honored. Those sequences are what keep me with a set for weeks! But I am glad they are helpful to you. I’m not going anywhere, anytime soon. And thank you for your kind words about my mother. Thursday will be hard at her funeral, but it’s been a month now and it’s time to see her rest.

(((hugs))) We laid my mom to rest last year on what would have been her 90th birthday, which happens to be tomorrow (Dec 4). It seemed fitting. You’re in my prayers.

It does get better. When she died last year, I was shattered. But a friend posted this on my Facebook page. I found it incredibly helpful.

        It read:

Grief never ends, but it changes
It’s a passage, not a place to stay.
Grief is not a sign of weakness
        Or a lack of faith…
It is the price of love.

I wish I had a magic wand that would remove all pain and sadness, or some magic words that would take the hurt away. But I don’t. All I can offer is an ear to listen.

As much as I would hate to see you give up the SIms 3 poses, I know there is much more demand for Sims 4 stuff. I’m so sorry about your Mom, though you knew it was coming, that never makes it easier. You are in my thoughts and prayers about your tests. The First Day of School poses are going to be featured in my next chapter (thirty!!) if/when I ever get past this terrible writer’s block. Danae’s baby finally goes to school for the first time. It’s an exciting time for the Murphys, even if not for me. Hey, I live vicariously through Danae and Andy, what can I say?

    Thanks for the update!!

Thank you Wendy. You are right, we did know it was coming. We thought we had 2 more years with her, but when they found the cancer, we lost her 6 weeks later. It was too much for my heart. I can actually say I loved her so much her impending death broke my heart.

How exciting about your story! Writers block gets us all so don’t worry and I’m sure many people live through their sims. Life is so easy there compared to the real world….who wouldn’t want to! Happy Simming and I will look forward to that chapter.

We didn’t have more than 36 hours from the time my mom was taken to the hospital in acute congestive heart failure until she finally slipped away from us. Her last day was brutal. She was awake and completely aware. One question she asked me in particular still haunts me.

        Ugh.

I’m so sorry about your mom, and your heart attack, too. ❤ You know I love ya'.

Your upcoming poses sound great, and I'm glad making them relieves stress.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mum and about your heart attack. Do take good care of yourself. ❤
As for you mug problem, I don't know if I'd say I'm a talented creator, lol, but I can absolutely make you an accessory mug. I even have a 3D model of a mug (made by me, of course) with a handle that I could turn into a ts3 object, if you're interested? 🙂 Like you, I'm a bit busy, so I'd be up for looking into it after the 9th of December. 🙂
I'm also someone who loves your poses. The only reason I don't use them more is that I don't focus so much on families. Your conversations and emotion poses are the bomb, though. I've used those sooo much! 🙂
    Hugs to you! 🙂 ❤

Thank you! I am trying to take better care of myself for sure.

You just made my day!! I don’t need it now. If I had one, I could even alter my Meeting At the Cafe Pose set to make it more functional! Super excited. You can contact me via email posesbybee@gmail.com

Thank you for the lovely compliments as well. I can’t remember if you make poses of your own, sitting here right now after I just woke up five mins ago. But if there is anything you need for adults let me know. We can make it a trade!

No problem. 😀 When I have the time, I’ll look into making a mug for you. I’ll even make one as a decor item as well – just because I personally wish all accessory objects also came as decor. 😉

I do make poses myself, but it’s so sweet of you. I have used quite a few of the ones you’ve made. You’re very talented and I enjoy the attention to detail and high quality. ❤

Thank you so much. Hold off on the mug, someone has sent me one but I need to get details. Will let you know. I agree with wanting more decor items for sims 3!

Your Sims 3 poses are so good, I can’t blame the Sims 4 players wishing for your excellent work.
As long as Sims 3 already exists, so many poses are also available on the net.
As a storyteller you will find great poses and think:
Oh yes, that’s exactly what I need.
Unfortunately, many links are dead by now, only the pictures left.
Bee’s Poses are by now part of my standard equipment when making stories, so I want to call out as a die-hard Sims 3 player:
    No, please stay. I still haven’t enough ! 😆

(For example, I wish for a “Räuberleiter”, as a translation I found “to give a leg up”.Under the link you will find a picture of what I mean by that.
A child and an adult version would be so fantastic.) https://prnt.sc/q65o4y

But, I also know that you easily tend to give more than it’s good for yourself and I wish you to find joy and satisfaction in what you do with your Sims time.
I do like your stories too and I miss them.
Unfortunately, except for my picture blog, I can’t give you much in exchange but poorly translated comments. 😉
Currently I’m learning to bring in selfmade Sim pictures in game frames.
For now I wish you a contemplative time until Christmas and a gentle solution to your health problems.

Liese, you may call them poorly translated comments, which they are not but I can say I always look forward to them. They always lift my spirits and keep me going on the right path! You have no idea how much simple genuine and kind words can mean to me. Especially right now. Tomoro is my mom’s funeral and so I’m a jitter of news and sadness today.

I will get right on that pose for you starting next week. I imagine I will be wore out for the next few days at least.

      Thank you so much!

Hi Bee, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear mom. I can’t even imagine the hurt. 😥 And please take care of yourself too. There are a lot of us diehard Sims 3 fans left. I personally will never switch to Sims 4. It doesn’t inspire me. The storytelling section on the Sims 3 creators is very lively and gets lots of posts still. I have a lot of cc mugs in my game, LOTS! There are small ones, big fat ones, left handed, right handed. A lot of times they come with animations. I will email them to you. I don’t use poses anymore as I’ve switched to animations but your poses are excellent and I still plan to animate that one pose I asked you about. Just haven’t had time yet. Busy lives. Sigh. I hope that your heart tests go well and the operation too, if you have to have it. Zee

I am so sorry to hear about your mom and your heart attack. I hope things will get better for you from now on and, as others said, please take care of yourself ❤
I love your poses! I wish I could use them more often because I almost never use kids or teens in my stories, but I have to agree with Louise that your emotions ones are amazing! I'm planning on relying on them quite heavily in the chapters to come 🙂
Again, my best wishes to you! ❤ ❤

Broken heart syndrome. I loved my mom so much, I had a heart attack. I’m still waiting to hear what type of heart disease I have, but we do know it’s not my arteries which was very good news.

I’m starting to hear exactly what you said about not playing kids/teens more and more. Which is why I want to make poses that users really need. I hope I can provide well for people starting now.

Being a perfectionist isn’t a flaw, and that is exactly why I just love your poses and can’t get enough of them – I download and use them in total confidence because I know they are flawless! With the care for the little details you put in = you can zoom in without having to play with camera angles to hide overlaps and such. So take your time, no stress, and think of yourself and your family firsthand…

I promise I will take care of me. I think posing will help to get me through the next six months. It sounds funny to say, I lost my mom but I’ve also lost my job as she was where I went everyday and what I did all day long. Feeling a bit lost, honestly. So my focus is going to be on making poses that people want, and not what I think people need, to help me get over this grief.

Getting busy keeps the thoughts at bay, but will also help you deal with them. I can’t wait to see what kind of poses people will ask for – I have some in mind myself, but I’ll let you settle a bit first! Lots of comforting hugs, I sure will think of your mom every year, as the fifth is also my birthday…

Hello bee. I would also like to say again (even if you have heard it very often) that you are the best creator of poses that I have seen and got to know so far. And I’m happy every time a new pack comes out. 🙂
You are active, despite the strokes of fate.
And yes, sometimes I’m still looking for poses that I might need for the stories, but you won’t find anything you need. It has happened to me very often. And then you have to improvise, but that usually works well.
You create poses that can be used for many actions or situations, not just for the respective pack.

Also: health and family is still the most important thing! So take the time for yourself every now and then. ♥
I can only say: I would sorely miss it if you stopped doing poses for Sims 3. (as long as you enjoy it, do it) But I see there is a lot in the queue again. And I’m really looking forward to being able to admire the creations soon. 🙂

    Greetings and hugs, Mandy ❤

Thank you! I think after this I am changing up how I spend my time making poses. More adults and smaller packs with actions of everyday things. Can’t keep spending 2 weeks on a set that only gets 60 downloads off my site. Not everything I make can go up on TSR either. So time to work smarter, not harder, as my step father always told me. But those sets in the queue will still come out as they are mostly done. Last night I was working on a “Leg Up” set, requested by Liese that only has 8 poses in it! Okay she only requested 2 but like me my brain has big ideas for a themes and I can’t stop at only 2. Out in a few days I would think.

Thank you Mandy! I’m not going anywhere soon. Do you have any suggestions, or things you are looking for? Posing helps to keep my mind off the “strokes of fate” that have happened to me in the past few months. Missing my mom and not used to having so much time on my hands.

Hi! (I haven’t checked WordPress in quite a while…) So sorry about your loss and everything else! Take all the time you need, and don’t let the Sims community stress you 😉 That being said, I love your list of pose-ideas! Can I say again that I love your work? I use your poses frequently, although I’m awful at remembering which poses exactly I used, if it wasn’t something very particular. Though the unobtrusive everyday-behaviour poses are really what brings a story to life.
Also what cute pets you have! Those lizards look fascinating, and Boxers have a very special place in my heart – our Boxer sadly passed away in October. Which is actually part of the reason I haven’t been around much myself since autumn.
