Updated Site!

Hello Everyone!

I have been busy busy busy for the past week, making many changes to posesbybee, streamlining the site, improving pics and organizing categories!

All this hard work as a special thank you to everyone who visits, leaves me those wonderful likes on my posts and fabulous comments as well.

Hopefully, I didn’t cause any difficulties to my followers during the times I was working things out, with missing links and the page doing some very wonky things.  If by chance you notice any issues from this point on, please leave me a comment by choosing “Say Hi To Bee” on the top menu and I will fix it as soon as I get the message.  I appreciate your patience during the past week.

How does it look?  Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  I do want to mention, the slideshow below the categories, is not “clickable”.

Most likely this is a feature available on business plans, or other more involved themes.  I wish it could be done, believe me!  I may still change the theme.  I had one chosen before summer, but it seems to have disappeared with the roll out of the full Gutenberg system for Word press.   It’s been a real learning experience, navigating a brand new way of posting on this site and making simple changes.

I also want to take a moment to say, I am humbled by all the lovely compliments being posted on other people’s blog sites and Tumblr’s about my site and my work.  I see them all, as long as you tag me and I feel blessed to be so well thought of in this community.  I will work hard to continue being worthy of such high praise!  Thank you so very much!

Luv ya all,

BEE

I admire your work with the site. Personnally, I’m struggling with the WordPress update, I don’t find it better at all, I even hesitate to post as I don’t really find it more comfortable, what with all the blocs and stuff. So kudos for your work, Bee, I bet it have been fastidious!

I agree. My worry is they will once and for all eliminate coding! my pages are all coded to create this tables to display each pose set. I tried their “pages templates” and got seriously frustrated! Also, my main page is done with widgets, but the particular widget I used is now no longer available (probably because they want you to use these templates) but nothing looks like I have it done now and like best. Sigh….

Your site looks terrific! I know how hard you work to keep everything updated and looking fresh while being organized. The new pics are beautiful, too!

The new site looks great, though I miss the “new sets” feature. But, never fear… I know how to find stuff. I despise the WordPress update, and if I couldn’t use the “Classic” editor as a block, I would likely migrate back to Blogger. It wouldn’t take much to migrate, but I’d have to switch the domain somehow… too much to worry about, maybe in the spring when it runs out? Anywho… Everything looks wonderful! I’ve been updating the older photos on The Legacy’s front page as well.

I know I tell you, but thank you SO much for all the hard work you do in maintaining the site, doing the poses, and just being you! You’re so appreciated by so many in the storytelling community. Big hugs!!

Wendy, thank you for all that! I could not figure out how to keep New Sets without making the page so long. However, when you open certain posts, new sets are sometimes on the side, if I choose not to make that post full width. I put in the slideshow because, tbh, I was tired of having people say to me, you made a set like that? Uh yeah, I did. Hoping this will show off sets and perhaps peek pose users interest to things they haven’t seen yet. Maybe they will stop for a minute and watch it like tv. The new theme would have had the slideshow at the top of the page and I still could have kept new sets. I will give it some thought on how to put it back.

I am still using classic editor myself. Although I have used the blocks. I would suggest you practice making posts with the blocks in case they take classic editor away. I have a sneaking suspicion that may be in 2022. Or you can get the classic plugin, however you need a business plan for that. No plug ins for personal or premium plans which really sucks. I complain about that a lot to Kymber. In the end, wordpress is still better than blogger, which is where I started, so I can confidently make that determination. Best wishes on updating your site as well.

I posted a chapter from Gen 1 using blocks, and I hated it. I suppose they think they’re doing us a favor, but I’m going to make known how displeased I am. I know it likely won’t matter, and that’s okay, but they need to know. We are paying customers, after all. Using both WordPress and Blogger, I definitely prefer WordPress… overall, it’s been more user-friendly, but… I guess I need to suck it up and try blocks one more time. Ugh!!

Way back when they brought out Gutenberg blocks, I made my displeasure know and asked if Classic would be staying. It did stay. They also gave me a bunch of sites to help me learn blocks, which did help. If you contact them, you could ask for that and save some frustration in the coming posts.
